Strawberry Picking At Cammas Hall Farm | Hatfield Broad Oak

With the summer season upon us, it’s time for me to really capture the essence of the holidays with my children. And where better to start than with some strawberry picking- a childhood right of passage in the summer months.

In desperate need of some strawberries I decided to drive to Cammas Hall Farm in Hatfield Broad Oak. I like the idea that we can avoid the plastic wastage of supermarket bought strawberries, while also supporting a great local business. Plus it’s a fun activity!

If you’ve not been to Cammas Hall Farm I recommend doing so, not only can you pick a variety of fruit and vegetables yourselves, but they also have a great fenced off play area for little ones including cars, slides and a sandpit. Bigger children can clamber on huge tyres or use the swings and a larger slide.

If you’d like to capture the essence of summer with a strawberry picking family session, just let me know!

Keeping my kids up way past bed time is always a mixture of emotions, I really enjoy my free time when they’ve gone to bed. But with the days stretching out the sunsets definitely encroach on my evening time. But it’s worth it.

I always tell my clients if they can, to try and book sunset sessions, nothing compares to that even light as it falls on the subjects skin and that beautiful glow that happens in the evening sky.

In fact this photo session with my kids was taken on the Summer Solstice. Officially the longest day of the year.

Minus a few less hours to myself in the evening, bedtime that night was actually really easy. Straight to bed for them and straight into an editing session for me.
